All you need is love and love is all you need.

My guest this week, Antoinette Fossdal-Johnson (Nottoden, Norway) is an activist, feminist, musician, painter, events organiser, banjolele & ukulele player. A kindhearted person who is not afraid to shed light on issues that matter, Antoinette is going full steam ahead being out there for a meaningful cause. Antoinette expresses herself best through her art pieces. With a special painting and creation technique, fans and buyers of her art will be able to feel and touch her art pieces, allowing them to literally feel her deepest inner most emotions and feelings.

I personally feel that this is amazing: Touching her art is like getting a glimpse of what’s going on in her mind. I am very excited of to see her progress in all of her works in the future, perhaps hopefully own one of her masterpiece one day.

All these fascinating things that Antoinette was doing, however, weren’t the main highlight of this episode. “In Conversation with ESP” had helped Antoinette find romance. Yes, the talk show brought Nicklas Skjelbreid (Niko) to Antoinette, and they are now in love.

Niko, another fascinating gentleman doing great things, was my guest in one of the episodes in November 2020. They met because Antoinette was watching one of the episodes, featuring Author-Musician Gunnar Høgstmyr (Fellow Musician) who’s a friend, of a friend, of a friend of Niko. Talk about the 6 degrees of separations! Besides spreading positivity in trying times like this is... simply priceless.

I am honored and proud that my talk show is able to bring love remote from Singapore to Norway. If you ask me, that’s one of my proudest moment since running the show with my good friend, Joey Chin. Here’s wishing Antoinette and Nico all the best, from all of us at ESP.

Potato or the Egg?

I had the pleasure of hosting Kyle Ravin, Magician, Artiste, Voice-Over Expert and Hot-Shot-Radio-Deejay-in-the-making in my latest episode of “In Conversation with ESP” on the last Saturday of August 2021.

That 60 minutes was simply fireball on steroids! It was so entertaining, inspiring and never a dull moment.

Kyle shared his beginnings as an artiste with a story of growing pains. He was a victim of school bullies and often got picked on for body shaming with daily slew of racial slurs. I can only imagined how terrible and uncalled for it was for Kyle growing up as a child.

Kyle did not wallow in self-pity, no ma’am, he didn’t. By chance, he picked up a book about magic from the school’s book fair, practiced a few neat tricks, showed it to the very bullies who picked on him, and made friends with them. Talk about growth mindset at such a young age!
A multi faceted artiste and a proud Singaporean Son, Kyle is one of the most fascinating guests I had on the show. He exudes kindness, energy, compassion, passion for life and displayed it with no hesitation. We also spoke about the various occasions we have met, which eventually lead to the invitation to the show. Kyle managed to also squeeze a couple of magic tricks, played an instrument call the Fujara, and shared lots and lots of positivities.

What I enjoyed most about the conversation with Kyle, was he shared a very typical story of “Zero to Hero”. He overcame the odds in his own way: Not by aggression or anger, but using his friends to make peace and make friends. Kyle’s success story of overcoming school-bullying is dedicated to all the children and all the child in us; a reminder that kindness and love always prevail.

Question: “So, do you want to be the Egg or the Potato in the boiling water?” Ever heard of that one? Kyle and I decided, with no debate, that we want to the egg. Watch episode to find out what this means. Oh yeah, Kyle ate fire as a finale. Nuff Said.

Kyle, it’s such a wonderful pleasure having you on. I look forward to having you on the show  again in the near future. For more of Kyle Ravin please visit:
